Ft. Worth Japanese Gardens – Early Winter

Most of the leaves have fallen and the nights have become chillier.  Winter has taken a hold of North Texas and the Japanese gardens continue their annual evolution.

Join me for some more pictures.

Sunny, but cold.

A few trees stubbornly hold onto their leaves a little longer.

The front gate from inside.

The water only seems to become more placid as it becomes colder.

Just a few leaves left on the willow.

But, this is Texas and some plants just do not turn!

There are pine needles everywhere.

And then there are some sections that look like it is still summer.

Nature’s very own Christmas tree.

Speaking of trees, here are two more shots of my favorite Maple:

Right before it loses its leaves, and:

now completely bare.
